OPT 3/11 file 110 天后approved + 议员加急 + 解决received date错误

我今年毕业，把纸质申请opt的时间线，请congressman加急，和解决received date写早1个月的经历写下来，希望能帮到有需要的同学。

时间线：
3/11  received (但是I797上写的received date是2/11， 超出了program end date的90天)
3/17  410$被划走
期间发现reddit，地里都有类似问题，但不多。和学校的immigration advisor讲，他们说没见过，没啥办法。
4/15  和一位tier1 agent通话，请他file e-request，讲明received date有typographical error。
4/29  收到邮件 “Only the officer reviewing your case can make the corrections that you have requested. We have forwarded your concerns to your file and they will be reviewed by the officer at the time of adjudication. No corrections have been made at this time.”
5/17  和emma request后，一个tier 2 agent打给我。讲明白以后说“I’ll escalate another line of inquiry”。听着挺玄乎，但从结果看就是又file了一个e-request。
6/4  收到邮件 “We have corrected your receipt date in our systems per your request”，后几天又收到一个纸质i797，有更正的received date，总算解决了这个问题。
6/24  到了官网上写的3.5months normal processing time。给学校的immigration advisor通话，她给我发了个waiver。我填好，她帮我发给congressman。过了几小时，议员office联系我要了一封公司出的信，说我不能按时开始公司就会incur financial loss。
6/25  议员office说 “Thank you for the letter, I have sent it off to the office and requested an expedite on grounds of financial hardship.”
6/29  New card is being produced.

从我的经验来看，解决received date错误，找tier 2 agent file e-request似乎有用（和tier 1 agent有对比）。

要是超出normal processing time，就通过 (i)议员网站或者 (ii)学校immigration office的关系 加急。没准有用，至少可以得到准确的update。

等待的过程挺煎熬的，毕竟自己不能控制。最后祝大家一切顺利~

"给学校的immigration officer通话，她给我发了个waiver。"请问这个waiver是干嘛的呢？学校的immigration officer是给咱们发I-20的人是么？我的case也out of normal processing time了，打算找议员，但不知道是否还要通过学校联系？

全称是privacy act waver。纽约州我这个议员的表上会问1what concerns are you having with a federal agency 2what specific actions are you seeking from our officer 签了以后议员就可以act on our behalf去expedite或者inquire。

immigration advisor就是international student office里面那些人。我学校的advisor直接就把表发来了，然后帮我forward到议员的office。自己弄的话就去议员网站上交inquiry，可能会有人联系你（抱歉我也不太确定）
