Automation Engineer


Elite Quartz Manufacturing is a new 360,000 square foot manufacturing plant based in Latta, South Carolina that seeks to become the largest producer of quartz countertops in North America. The company is a joint venture between Spectrum Quartz and MSI, both leading distributors of quartz countertops in the United States and Canada. With the most advanced machinery combined with patent-protected processes, the Company will focus on producing the next generation of innovative quartz colors and designs.
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented and driven individual interested in an exciting and unique opportunity to be part of a new quartz manufacturing facility from the beginning of production.  The Automation Engineer will design, program, simulate and test automated machinery and processes in order to complete exact tasks.

Roles and Responsibilities:
•    Sets up the automation of a quartz manufacturing process.
•    Develop and maintain the automation processes in quartz production.
•    Design, develop, and testing new production processes.
•    Maintain and monitor the automation process on an ongoing basis.
•    Streamline the manufacturing process and make it as efficient as possible.

Required Qualifications:
•    Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Automation with European and Japanese PLC program knowledge.
•    Three years’ experience in R&D or manufacturing environment.
•    Ability to maintain Schneider, and Mitsubishi PLC programs.
•    Ability to set and maintain inverter and servo controller parameters.
•    Has experience in a medium to large size automation control projects.
•    Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
•    Ability to work with international R&D team in China and is proficient in Chinese language (Mandarin).
•    Good team-working skills.
