Dr. Yan Wang is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Computer and Information Sciences at Temple University. Currently, he is seeking opportunities to work with highly self-motivated students and would like to provide full financial support to whoever has been accepted. The accepted students are expected to work in the areas of mobile computing, deep learning, Internet of Things, smart healthcare, and cybersecurity with the focus on deep learning accelerator, pervasive/mobile sensing, cyber-physical systems, human-computer interactions, privacy, vehicular networks.
Dr. Wang frequently publishes at top conferences including MobiCom, INFOCOM, Sensys, MobiSys, MobiHoc, UbiComp, etc. He is the Technical Program Committee Vice Chair of IEEE INFOCOM 2022 and Technical Program Committee Co-Chair of IEEE CNS 2021. He also regularly serves as Technical Program Committee and Organizing Committee in INFOCOM, CNS, ICDCS, and ICCCN. He is the recipient of the Best Paper Award from IEEE CNS 2018, IEEE SECON 2017, and ACM AsiaCCS 2016. His research has been reported in numerous media outlets including MIT Technology Review, CNN, Fox News Channel, Wall Street Journal, National Public Radio, and IEEE Spectrum.
