Full-time Research Assistant at CUHK Business School  
Fields of Research: Corporate finance, financial accounting
Location: Hong Kong

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join CUHK Business School as a full-time Research Assistant for three months to one year. The start date is flexible, and compensation is highly competitive. A working visa in Hong Kong will be sponsored.

This position is ideal for candidates with a strong interest in finance or accounting research. We welcome applications from current Ph.D. students as well as master's and undergraduate students who plan to pursue Ph.D. studies in accounting, finance, or related business fields. The successful candidate will work closely with Professor Jun Chen, participate in the academic life of CUHK Business School, and receive mentorship for Ph.D. applications. Past RAs have been admitted to Ph.D. programs at ASU, CUHK, the University of Arizona, and PolyU.

The research projects will broadly revolve around the real effects of AI adoption in the captial markets. Responsibilities include data collection and analysis, managing large datasets, statistical programming, data visualization, and editing research papers.

Qualifications
Ideal candidates will:
(i)         have a solid quantitative background (especially econometrics);
(ii)        have strong data analysis and programming skills (extensive experience with Stata and/or Python is a must);
(iii)       able to work independently to solve problems;
(iv)       highly self-motivated and adept at learning new technical skills when needed.
