今年UCB EECS MEng是不能延期了吗

官网上是这样写的：
Is there an option to extend the program to 3 semesters?
The full-time MEng program is currently a lock-step, two-semester degree program. Students are expected to graduate in two semesters and exceptions are considered in exceptional circumstances, for example failing a required class. We cannot accommodate requests for planned or voluntary program extensions for non-academic reasons. Students who are interested in a 2-4 year program should apply to the separate and distinct part-time MEng program.
Students who do not complete all of their degree requirements in the normative time may petition to extend their time to degree; however approval is not guaranteed. UC Berkeley’s Graduate Division considers petitions to extend a student’s program from the degree-granting department on an individual basis for academic reasons only. It is Graduate Division policy that when a student completes their degree requirements, then they will graduate.

多一个学期的话暑假可以找个实习，不然只能直接直冲全职，风险比较大。

今天的eecs info session Michael有说可以extend到第三学期，和以前的流程一样。
另外好像还没有人收到奖学金通知（可能4/1是🐦了）

同问！如果不能延期的话，感觉风险好大呀

伯克利最近跟加州最高法院的官司打输了。大概背景是有人投诉伯克利招生人数过多，影响附近居民生活，最后的判决是要求大幅削减在校学生数量。这件事情影响还是很大的，伯克利本科生可发的 offer 数直接腰斩，即便是被录取的也要背 advise 成 online 或者延期入学。今年不能延期的政策，很可能是和这个有关。

上面这个链接是二月份早些时候的声明，其中提到了会上诉，上诉结果应该在三月份已经出来了，有另一篇 statement 暂时没找到

不能延期的话，9个月基本意味着还没开学就要投简历。。对于没有全职工作经验确实是很大的风险
