Statement of Accomplishment    

We will compute for each student his or her total points on standalone quizzes (Q), core interactive exercises (X), challenge-level exercises (C), and exams (E), then a weighted total T = Q + (2 x X) + (3 x C) + (3 x E), i.e., doubling core exercise scores, and tripling challenge-level exercises and exam scores. The total number of achievable points is 401, or 269 without any challenge-level exercises. Due to limitations, we have approximated this point grading system by assigning each assignment a percentage of the total grade.

•         Standard: Every student who achieves greater than 50% of the total points (i.e., > 200 points) will receive a statement of accomplishment. Note this requirement is equivalent to achieving greater than 75% of the points, when we exclude challenge-level exercises.
•         “With distinction”: Every student who achieves greater than 75% of the total points (i.e. > 300 points)  will receive statement of accomplishment with distinction.
  

We'll be crunching the numbers and generating your statements of accomplishment throughout the week of March 17th.
