The Robotics Lab at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) has a PhD student opening (with a full graduate assistantship and tuition waiver) for January 2024. The successful candidate will conduct research in simultaneous localization and mapping for dynamic environments. The lab’s recent research activities include visual inertial odometry for pose estimation of robot and mobile device, autonomous 3D mapping and navigation.
