犹他大学机械工程系招收多名博士生

犹他大学机械工程系Pania Newell教授实验室计划招收4个全奖博士。可以2024 春季或者秋季入学。主要用计算和实验方法研究多孔材料(Porous Material)。具体职位描述如下。感兴趣的同学可以直接和Prof.Newell 联系(pania.newell@Utah.edu).

These projects cover a wide range of topics from pure computational workto experimental studies related to climate change.
The computational projects require:
• Good math and physics backgrounds
• Good programming knowledge in Python
• Good verbal and writing skills in English
• Experience with finite element modeling

The experimental projects require:
• Experience in micromechanical testing and imaging: SEM, TEM, EDS,
nanoindenation, etc.
• Experience with image processes and analysis
• Good programming knowledge in Python for data analysis
• Good verbal and writing skills in English
