PhD.Offer [CS@George Mason] 第一个OFFER！

早上起来刷邮箱，看到一个OFFER。 Computer Science Ph.D. program at George Mason University。

The financial support is in the form of a Graduate Teaching Assistantship (GTA) for the 2011-
2012 academic year (Fall 2011 and Spring 2012 semesters) and a Graduate Assistantship for the
Summer of 2012.  The combined assistantships offer a stipend of $18,000. In addition, there is a
tuition waiver of 6 credits per semester for each of the Fall 2011 and Spring 2012 semesters.  
The effective dates of the assistantship are August 25, 2011 – August 24, 2012. Graduate
Teaching Assistantships are renewable.

Upon acceptance of this offer and the meeting of all eligibility requirements, University paid
health insurance through Aetna Student Health will be available to you for up to three years.


虽然是TA，但是貌似钱不多啊。请教一下，华盛顿地区一年18,000刀够生活费吗？
还有，这里说到每个学期免6个学分的学费，怎么不是全免呢？
另外，只提到了一年的TA,以后的怎么办呢？

托福和口语都是多少分?

1800的工资是九个月的， 够了 ; 学分的问题，得去问给你offer的,how many credits do I have to register for each semester to maintain full time student status? 如果是六个学分就可以，那就不用管了.

见http://catalog.gmu.edu/content.php?catoid=15&navoid=1172 里面的full time classification, 6个学分是你每学期最少要注册的（除非你申请under-enroll），当然你要是多选课就得自交多余的学费了，TA是可以续的，但你第1年GPA不要太差。

congs~一般第一年都是TA，后面有老师了就可以做RA了.这个不用担心。一般情况下不会停钱的。
