advice on PS from a native professor

Hi, everyone!
I just received the revision on my PS from an American professor. He gave me several general guidelines on PS writing. I am glad to share these stuff and hope it will be helpful. By the way, I am a chem student.

Graduate schools are looking for students who have the following characteristics:
- will be an excellent instructor (laboratory or resitation instruction)
- good command of written and spoken English and the interest to continue to develop
- undergraduate research experience and experience with instrumentation
- self-starters (people who take on challenges without receiving instructions or orders)
- people who have potential to be excellent researchers
- people who also get along well with others (work well and play well)

I think your essay would benefit from mentioning an influential teacher and your interactions with other undergraduate as well as graduate students.

In addition, he also emphasised on the structure of the whole PS and the intra-structure within each paragraph. Write logically.
