Congratulations on your admission to the Electrical and Computer Engineering graduate program. We will be sending you additional information about your admission shortly. We generally assign academic advisors around the May/June time frame. We will notify once an advisor has been assigned to you.
Departmental funding for the fall has been issued, so I am sorry to say we do not have other opportunities at this time. You may wish to look into assistantship opportunities in other departments or on campus listed here. It may be possible that some additional funding will be issued in the next few weeks. We will contact you should any funding opportunities arise.
If you choose to enroll, you may be eligible to apply for an ECE assistantship (TA or RA) after at least one semester in our program – applications are only available to current students because there are many more students than funding sources. Students who demonstrate that they can do well in courses and research may have a good chance of being awarded a teaching assistantship at some point. You will be eligible to be reconsidered for a TA/RA after your first semester.
If you wish to seek out graduate research assistantships with individual faculty, you may do so, but again, most funding has been issued at this point. Our faculty and their full contact information are listed here. You could contact those whose research interests seem in line with your own and try to arrange meetings with them after you arrive on campus, should you enroll.
