关于计算数学的入门和就业

最近在考虑出国的申请方向，对计算数学起了一些兴趣，不过版里对于这一块介绍的帖子好像很少。（我之前看过了这篇http://www.1point3acres.com/bbs/ ... 6%CB%E3%CA%FD%D1%A7 还是很有收获的 感谢作者～）
现在比较想知道几个问题：
一是计算数学近两年来中国学生的申请情况怎么样？
二是除了反问题之外，计算数学还有什么比较热门的研究课题？国内外那些教授做的比较前沿？

I can tell you something because one who is very close to me plan to study a field like this.

Right now, because of big data and cloud, a combination of math and cs is very hot. It depends on what you plan to do, but just list fields you can get hired:
any wearable device companies such as fitbit, I saw they hire data researcher
any gpu company like Nvidia
some investment banks like Goldman

Essentially, you are going to get a job relatively easily with great CS skills and math background.
