主要论点是，我们没有underpay，所以我们并没有抢占资源。其次我们的工作给公司带来利益，公司继续扩展，就会带来更多的就业岗位，这其实是有益的。
第三是很多国际学生opt结束后会离开美国，这样一来工作机会还是留给了美国人。最后竞争带来进步，会让美国更好。

Before became a university staff and got green card, I was also an international student. Now I understand why universities need international students at such an urgent extent. Even though we could argue that many private colleges admitted international for profits, how about public schools? Now almost every public university meets with tremendous financial pressure. However, the “out-of-state tuition” paid by international students really made contribution to improve the awful financial situation of universities. And many international students who have a career success later also made donation to the universities’ funds. Moreover, they also drive the development of the local economy. Many apartments was built to accommodate them and earn rental fees, many restaurants have a better business than ever before.

But if we cancel the OPT extension proposal, I think in the near future the international students would suffer a substantial reduction and that situation certainly will have a negative impact to public universities and local economy. And this cancellation would also let those people who previous were international students but now were American citizens have deep doubts of American dreams. I wonder how many of those who are against immigrants coming to US are first generation Americans？

The rise of this program gives many opportunities to people around the world to pursuit their dreams and also maintaining the competitiveness of the US job market to stay on top for having skilled science and engineering workers.

I totally support this motion. For those who think this motion would give more jobs to aliens but not US citizen, I think they are shallow, bias and arrogant. The statistics show that more than 85% of the students of EE and CS major are from other countries. If STEM extension is cancelled, all the well-educated talents would be effected and this chain reaction would break down all the way from the academic performance, university region local economy, high-tech industry, finally, to the backbone of our nation's innovation ability and competitiveness! If 85% of the STEM students lose their OPT, That means that our STEM related industry would lose 85% of good employees!
STEM students never take jobs from US citizen because 99% American citizens are even not STEM majors!
STEM student never lower the basic wage standard! Administration needs to regulate illegal and unqualified immigrants, not talented legal STEM students who bring up economy growth, innovation ,vitality and job offer to US!

I support this proposal undoubtedly.
USA is a country of great diversity. Diversity is beneficial and necessary to the country. Different people make huge contributions to the society, especially those
people having high-level education background. This proposal could encourage brilliant college students from all over the world to have enough time to make improvements in certain industry field, even breakthroughs with the knowledge they learned. Without these young and smart students, our industry could not develop as fast as it does now.

Also, the number of start-ups is increasing nowadays. Quite a part of them are formed by college students. New start-ups could provide a lot of job opportunities for USA, which is helpful to maintain the social harmony and increase people's average income.
