OPT Extension Contractor 问题

知道H1B没有抽中以后就开始纠结这个问题，新的24个月opt extension 是不准 employment through employment agency的，现在有好几个小伙伴的情况都是通过vendor在第三方公司做contractor的，想问下这种情况是opt extension真的不行了嘛？ 如果现在换工作的话，opt 5月底到期，在opt extension pending期间可以换工作吗？
希望地里大神出来解释一下。

刚刚看了一下 确实这种情况是不行的
Volunteer/unpaid, employment through employment agencies and self- employment are NOT allowed. STEM-eligible employers must have e-Verify & EIN numbers and the student must have a "bona fide employer-employee relationship".Other types of employment are also problematic- including multiple employer arrangements, sole proprietorships, employment through ‘‘temp'' agencies, employment through consulting firm arrangements that provide labor for hire, and other relationships that do not constitute a bona fide employer-employee relationship. DHS confirms that students cannot qualify for STEM OPT extensions unless they will be bona fide employees of the employer signing the Training Plan, and the employer that signs the Training Plan must be the same entity that employs the student and provides the practical training experience.

想问一下楼主，我是去找了一个挂靠公司挂靠opt extension，他是给我写的remote工作那种，本来只给我写的20小时，后来我在学校网上提交新信息的时候看到学校说20小时以及以下都算part-time，于是我就叫那人把时间改成25小时；然后我问了一下我其他情况跟我一样的同学，他们的挂靠公司给他们写的是40小时。。。。我现在就是不知道到底多少小时算是能申请extension的底线啊，在哪可以找到相关规定。。。

新的rule 有链接吗 ？

其实还是问问学校吧。 这个表最终也是交给学校。 学校觉得可以能发新的 i－20 就好 。

我也是看了这个之后才发现不行的，可是感觉这种情况简直太多了，周围很多international student 都是这样的，不晓得他们是不是要一刀切。

. Waral dи,问了学校，学校说估计会非常难申请，但是学校也没解释清楚到底什么是employment through employment agencies. 这个概念特别的模糊。
