关于Gatech的MSE的四点信息

通过和小蜜交流，获得如下三点信息：
1）关于rolling application：The earlier you submit your application materials will give you a better chance to receive an earlier decision. The graduate coordinator is preliminarily reviewing applications are they are received. However, most admissions decisions will not be made until March or April.

2）关于招生信息：Only a small fraction of the large number of applicants are accepted each year. The majority of the students we admit have above 90% on all of their GRE scores and TOEFL scores of 105 iBT. The average GPA of incoming Fall 2010 students was 3.6/4.0. For your information, the deadline for a Fall application is January 15. We only admit International students in the Fall semester, unless they are already studying in a US university & would only need a transfer Visa.

3）关于院系合并：Announcement regarding the merger of the Schools of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) and Polymer, Textile and Fiber Engineering (PTFE): The faculties of the Schools of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) and Polymer, Textile and Fiber Engineering (PTFE) have merged into one program. The new curriculum and degree changes will be listed in the Updates section of the catalog and on the www.mse.gatech.edu site pending publication of the next catalog.
