ps改了几遍但是还是觉得好烂，因为之前的专业和mis没啥关系，所以但凡和mis贴边的经历我都写了，但是又感觉好啰嗦，求各位给点意见建议哈，谢谢！！！

Personal Statement
Having majored in administration and doubled in civil engineering, I was once confused about what I was really interested in. In the process of seeking a career I can dedicated all my life to, I have calculated my interest in information system and the skills needed to be qualified for the further study in this field.

Regarding data as the most valuable resource of this generation, I equipped myself with the analytics skills to draw a reliable conclusion from amounts of data. In order to finish a final project of Administration Organization in sophomore year, I mathematically regressed some properties which influence sales performance the most in the sales department of a furniture retailer. Having offered varieties raw data, I chose to use computer simulation through SPSS which I had learned on my statistics course. Since the direct computation might be complicated or even impossible, I decided to evaluate these factors more safely with 1000 times bootstraps Monte Carlo method and modeled every factor against performance. After explored properties of the correlation coefficient, I gave out the top 3 factors which influence performance the most and assisted my teammate to visualize data in a tableau for the manager. Half a year later, the manager told me that he made incentive measures onto the responsive factors I suggest as the predictors and got a better performance. Thanks to this research, I knew how we can make effective decisions by drawing reliable inferences from imperfect data though mathematical designs and analysis methods.

In the second semester of sophomore, I practiced a lot to analyze data and solve problems through mathematics modeling. I participated in the Entrepreneurship Competition for College Students. Our team chose the topic of House-for-Pension and I was responsible for the modeling of the macroeconomic analysis to analyze the benefits for individual and the overall national economy, then took further elaborate on the feasibility of House-for-Pension Pattern in Liaoning Province. This experience made me learn the basic modeling skills and enriched my knowledge of economics.

My programming ability was fostered by a computer course and then enhanced during the period I studied C language by my own. Through learning Vision FoxPro in class, I found myself indulge in these codes. Subsequently I decided to take the National Computer Rank Examination on C language. Since I considered myself as a person with strong self-learning ability, I decided to learn C language independently. It turned out later that my effort has lifted my programming ability to a higher level.

During my internship in information department of Jiain Construction Company, I put C language into practice use and I also acquired the capability of optimizing SQL to be used for the queries. The information systems in civil industry have a three-tier client/server architecture in common, consisting of a user interface (or presentation) tier, an application server tier, and a database server tier. The dataware which stored, managed, and processed data is where information systems come into play eventually. My duty was administrating database of the company including Creating Stored Procedures and triggers as well as selecting statement to give report on request using SQL/ PL-SQL, data modification and bug fix. At first, the biggest obstacle was to associate every column in tables to their interpretation, because the database was bought from a specialized software company. In order to simulate the design of the database, I tried to design from the ER/UML data model and implement them in my personal laptop with MySQL Community Version. Through this process, I realized that the database as fundamental level of information system contains a complete definition, description of business structure and constraint, and even the business workflow in the log. Combined with the knowledge I learned about C language which can access the database, I could easily fulfill the modification or query request from other department regarding to database. I even found a drawback where some tables which are not in the normal form thus led data redundant, my manager explained to me that is in order to avoid costing when joining tables.

To gain more skills and knowledge about information system in other industries, I became a project assistant intern in a project which is responsible for SAP operation and maintenance. During this internship, I learnt how to access the SAP system and categorize some tickets which has been delivered to wrong group. And during the 2nd release of SAP system in 2016, I was trained to deal with some simple tickets. Moreover, I also improved my communication skill by associate with others to expedite the process of some pending tickets. I learned a lot about the SAP system and got more interested in information systems. These three-month internship firmed my conviction to work in IT industry and also inspired me to work as a consultant in the future.

Through these experiences, I’ve learned a lot about statistics analysis and data management. I realized that innovations on information technology and management are enabling entrepreneurs and traditional firms to create new products and develop new business models.  In today’s China, many enterprises are also facing with the issue of information reform, which can contribute to the standardization of management and increase the degree of adaptability of enterprises to the market. Since fast and accurate information can bring profit to the enterprises, the enterprise information is an inevitable development trend.

Therefore, the potential and possibilities information technology brings motivate me to pursue a chance for further study. Your program offers various courses related to database, information system and web security which could flesh out my knowledge scope and systemize my skills in this field.
