H1B和新I-20不可兼得？

问下这种情况：今年申了H1B，也申了PHD现在有一个offer，如果现在接受phd的offer（ddl肯定是在知道h1b结果之前）学校小蜜就会发I-20并且有新的SEVIS number，但如果月底H1B也知道抽中了的话....这会不会跟PHD有冲突啊？ 要选择的话肯定选H1B，这样PHD的I-20可以撤销掉吗还是不用管...

I didn't see an exact deadline indicated in the offer, but the program will start in September. So I guess I still have plenty of time to make a decision whether accept the offer or not. What's your deadline for accepting the offer?

不好意思我也想再确认一下您的意思。即便我抽中了H1B，在10月1日以前我的F1身份还是有效的吧？我本人要今年6月才毕业。谢谢！

不好意思我咬文嚼字下哦，你说H1B"生效"，也就是10月1号吗？I-20 9月就入学生效了，H1B是会把I-20 override掉？ 方便具体讲下你的情况吗？

楼上说的对，就是10月1号后f-1就失效，自然也不再需要i20。 我当初就是在phd没毕业的情况下抽到h1b然后就quit了。不过h1b是可以同时读书的，如果你想工作同时读这个phd的话可以和学校研究一下。
