Dear  Chinan:

Thank you for your interest in our research work here.
Due to my currently limited funding, I do not have any funding or
financial assistance for any new PhD students for Fall 2012, and thus
I am not seeking any new students this year.  However, I always
welcome qualified students who have arranged for their own support
from scholarships and/or grants.

I consider students 'qualified' for my lab after they have:
1) applied and met University's requirements for graduate
study, and

2) shown good evidence of scholarly work and aptitude for research,
such as published papers or posters in internationally-recognized
scientific conferences and/or journals (e.g. IEEE, ACM, EG)  and

3) have demonstrated abilities for original thinking and work (written
novel computer programs, etc) in computer graphics, computer vision,
digital signal processing and/or related topics such as optics or
tomography.  Image processing work alone is insufficient.

For information on how to apply for graduate study,
and for information on finding and applying for scholarships, please
contact the admissions office.

    好像有的文章可以在会议上做海报，介绍，好一些的可以oral presentation。

    我回复率确实是高，但是基本都没用啊。。。我一般先了解下教授的研究兴趣，然后先表示兴趣+介绍自己，看看教授的反应，如果比较积极就读论文跟进。但是一个月前唯一一个一直联系的教授突然就不理睬了，于是就有了上面的一些回复。在此前还有教授告诉我转校了之类的，唉。

    那我觉得。。。很可能是你发信的时间在白天吧？那些教授每天收到这种信太多了，不会没封都回甚至不会每封都看。我一般都在晚上10点多发信，正好是人家的上午。教授一打开邮箱我的邮件肯定在很前面，要回的话几小时之内就发话了。。。
