stanford master??

Thank you for applying to the Graduate Division of the Department of Electrical Engineering at Stanford University. This year the number of well-qualified applicants wishing to pursue the Ph.D. degree has far exceeded the number of people we can accept. Consequently, we regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you admission to the Ph.D. program.

We are happy to inform you however, that we are able to offer you admission to our Master’s-Only program for the start of fall quarter 2010-2011. Congratulations!

Students enrolled under the MS-Only option exclusively pursue the Master of Science degree and are not eligible to take the qualifying examination required to become a Ph.D. candidate. Students wishing to take the Ph.D. qualifying examination may file a petition with the EE Admissions Office after completing two full quarters of graduate study (excluding summer). Such petitions must be accompanied by a letter of support from a full-time EE faculty member. That letter should include a statement of willingness to supervise and financially support the student's PhD research.

cong一下lz，如果经济不是问题，我相信读完ms应该是可以找到愿意带你的Prof转PhD的吧～
