I still wonder why statistics students are afraid of coding or do some computational stuffs.

Actually, you can do what I said in R, Matlab, even SAS.

那为什么 DM一般都在CS下，统计系开的很少啊。。。
要是不怕coding，那就去cs了呗

这门课东西好多啊 有回归的，多元的，sample的，一般聚啊，类啊的都是dm里的

这个看着很像machine learning。

To be honest, I don't think I can easily solve that problem, it would really take some time. however, i also dont think its inaccessible.
and i get a Question, what is a qualifier problem? u mean, u would get a master degree after that?

想法不难，但是要好好算likelihood，往往不是那么好算的

qualifier exam就是传说中的qual，过了就说明你基本完成了master课程的要求，可以进入phd研究阶段了

这只是众多qual中的一门。。
