Thank you for your interest in the MS in Statistics program. I would be happy to answer any questions you have as you research the program and weigh your options.
The Admissions Committee looks for applicants who have a strong quantitative background, motivation to succeed, and strong letters of recommendation. Specific math courses that "ideal" applicants have taken can be found here:http://ssc.utexas.edu/for-graduate-students/ms-statistics/admissions
An overview of the program can be found here:http://ssc.utexas.edu/for-graduate-students/ms-statistics/description-and-requirements
Other common FAQs can be found here:http://ssc.utexas.edu/for-graduate-students/ms-statistics/faqs
For your questions:
All of your test scores and GPA meet the minimum requirements for admission; however, admissions decisions are not solely based on test scores and GPA. The admissions committee also takes the letters of recommendation and personal statement very seriously.
We are expecting to enroll 8-12 students.
Yes, if you are accepted into the PhD program, which is an additional admissions process.
