The number of students admitted to the PhD program varies from year to year. In recent years, on average, we have received about 250 applications a year, made about 30 offers of admission, and enrolled entering classes of about 10-12.
Both the number of applicants and the size of the entering class have increased substantially since 2010. In the last two years, we have
been receiving 300-400 applications per year and making about 50-70 offers of admissions, of which about half were admitted.
