Ph.D. Research Assistantship Available Starting from Spring2019 or Fall 2019

Founded in 1869, Southern Illinois University atCarbondale (SIUC) is located at Carbondale, Illinois, USA. Carbondale is thecenter of southern Illinois area, and it is located 90 miles southeast of St.Louis, Missouri. The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) iscurrently looking for highly motivated Ph.D. students to perform research in thefields of imaging processing and deep learning for biomedical applications. Prospectivestudents are expected to start from Spring 2019 or Fall 2019.

Requirements:
1). Students with BS degrees in Engineering(Biomedical, Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, etc), Physics, Computer Science,or Mathematics will be fullyconsidered. We are especially interested in students from signal processing, imagingprocessing, speech processing, and machine learning fields. Experience inMatLAB, python, C/C++, LabVIEW and other programming will be a plus.

2). Master’s degree is highly preferred. Students need to provideGRE and TOEFL test scores. There is no minimum requirement for GRE scores.Prospective Ph.D. students will receive degree in Electrical and ComputerEngineering after completing the program.
