不满意的原因是因为他服务上写着是可以改IT相关的CV，感觉正好，因为怕其他人没有CS背景，我的经历也没法改
联系的时候口口声声说他能够有所帮助，但是改完之后的结果就是排版了下，然后单独列出一个section说objective（没必要啊，SOP会说，简直占用地方，感觉他是不是只会改找工作的CV？）。。主体内容完全没动过。。
还有大家请看好国家。。这个是尼日利亚的我order之后才注意到，也不知道英语水平怎么样。。还是找英/美/加的吧最好。

因为是改DS方面的CV，所以专门找了一个在CS领域读过硕士,并在软件领域工作多年的Editor来批改CV。在改之前有把自己的word发给他看过，上面有很多有疑问的地方都进行了批注（用词是否准确、布局是否合理，什么东西需不需要写等等一系列问题），并明确给他表示自己是申请硕士的，他很快就回复说他一般改的是求职简历，不过也可以帮我看一看，并建议我选择最便宜的套餐。然后拿到的修改版CV还是基本符合预期的，每个问题都得到了回答，修改了几处语法错误，一些冗余的模块被合在了一起，并且指出了自己在很多工作描述上不注重成果的介绍和一些“数字信息”，但是感觉还是有一些怪怪的，没有给人眼前一亮的感觉，比如他建议我把publication放进“Honors&Activities”里？？？
对比起来，反而是自己找学长修改简历，学长直接一阵见血指出自己写的东西太多了没有重点，同时对skills的具体阐述不够等等让自己感觉十分受用。
所以，总的来说，是一个挺有性价比的editor啦，能消灭CV中的语法错误和不通顺的地方，同时得到一篇标准的简历，但是由于editor可能对留学文书这一方面并不十分了解，所以在很多方面并不能给人很多帮助吧，大概就是一个及格分水平。

由于我的SOP给2位国外同学以及2位外企工作的人看过，听从了他们一些建议之后，来来回回修改了7、8次，个人感觉整体思路和框架比较清晰了，唯一就是英语句法和语法需要再完善，于是在Fiverr上找了Proofreading的Freelancer。我目标学校在Canada所以找Proofreading Freelancer时候国家特意选了加拿大（筛选之后之后，没几个加拿大人），看了一下成交量、评价、以及Orders in Queue最终选择了justadampaul。
PS 推荐大家关注一下Orders in Queue，如果太多的话，我个人觉得 1. 这个Freelancer为了在指定时间内完成任务，应该不会在每一个Gig上花太多时间；2. 这个可能是一个团队在运作，校对质量难以把控。
justadampaul速度比较很快，15h就出结果了。（PS他本人应该不在加拿大，Order上显示他的本地时间与北京时间的时差并不符合北京和北美时差，他应该是在欧洲）他工作蛮仔细，除了常规的语法、单复数、时态的校对，把一些标点符号使用错误也都改过来了。Content Improvement，主要就是针对一些比较Bland的词汇做了一些优化，另外就是把比较unconfident的单词做了修改让文章整体更Convincing。没有句子或者段落的Rewrite（应该是与我选的服务有关，50$服务是提供Rewrite的）。整体上我还是比较满意的。
另外在使用Fiverr之前，我也用了Grammarly Premium做检查。Grammarly有一定帮助，但是也有很多错误没有检查出来。推荐还是找Native Speaker实际检查下更好。

昨晚8点注册fiverr， 12点给一位卖家下单改文书，然后今天下午两点就被封号，并且自动取消了订单。
期间没有任何异常行为，买家也相当于白干大半天。白白浪费了申请季宝贵的时间，而且退款也不是立即退，说将会在接下来发邮件按照步骤操作。

当时时间比较紧（2天内就需要），也不想花太多钱rewrite，只想要找一个native speaker帮忙把改改我的表达，使之更加concise and precise，也顺便调调排版，使之能够更加的professional。所以我找到了retailtips，他声称自己是oxford文学本科，HR specialist，我提了需求以后满口答应，结果完成得非常差劲。
(1) 下单前后言行不一致，没有改任何语言表达。下单前说我的简历almost need rewrite，下单之后说the content is perfect， 不需要怎么改内容。可是那时候我的cv里甚至还有一些语法错误，还有表达不清晰的地方（比如 “分期付款”， 写成了 hire purchase， 其实应该用payment by installment），他都没有指出来，感觉根本没有认真看一遍。
(2) 他所做的唯一工作就是，把我的内容塞到了一个新模板，调了字体字号。可笑的是，他一开始吐槽我排版太密了，结果他自己排版完以后cv的长度变成了一页半.......加了很多很多完全没必要的东西，比如在我的每一份实习经历下面加了一行，“Responsibilities & Achievements:”，极其浪费空间。

总之，我非常怀疑这位editor的学历和工作经历的可信度，他的表现完全不是受过高等教育的人的水平，也完全不是经验老道的HR的水平。

中途我还联系了另一个editor，harvardauthor2。 这个editor很热心，说让我先把简历发给她看看，看过之后她说我的简历写得很糟糕（almost need rewrite），还把我的简历用ATS（貌似是美国的一个啥啥求职简历匹配软件？？？）跑了一遍，然后给我写了一通长长的回复。摘录如下：

hello dear  XXX, i just ran the Attached resume through my ATS, and it has a very low rating.
1) Your current resume summary needs to be updated to speak professionalism. your summary is the first thing that we recruiters looks at in a resume. it provides an insight into the resume. so it should be well detailed and formatted.
2) Some important sections like core competencies(not properly written), area of expertise etc are missing from your resume.(that alone is enough to catch the HR or the recruiting team eyes, so it should be added).
3) From the way the resume is worded, you come across as a "doer," as opposed to an "achiever." Too many of your job descriptions are task-based and not results-based. This means that they tell what you did, instead of what you achieved. This is a common mistake from non-professional resume writers. To be effective and create excitement, a great resume helps the hiring executive picture you delivering similar achievements at his or her company (in your case , the school applying to) .Your current job experience doesn't portray you as an achiever, it portrays you as a doer, that needs to be changed also.
4) Your resume is not properly formatted and also, not keywords optimized
5)Your resume should be very detailed, highlighting key skills and competencies that shows employers the value you bring to the organization.
Overall, if i have to work on this resume, i will have to do a total / overhaul revamp of the resume instead of an edit

她的那一句 you come across as a "doer," as opposed to an "achiever." 让我印象非常深刻，感觉这个editor还是挺认真的，有一定水平，如果有小伙伴想改简历可以考虑找她。但是她提出要收120刀来rewrite我的简历，而我不想花那么多钱，我就自己改了一遍然后找了那个评价很好的5刀proofreading的mallorygreene 改了一遍。mallory改得我很满意，几个我没注意到的小点都照顾到了，而且简历维持在刚好一页的篇幅，这个5刀花的可以说很划算了。

Is there a specific incident you can recall back to in your childhood that you can describe, that really sparked your interest in mathematics or statistics? How did it make you feel? Including such an opener will help set your PS apart from others and make it more memorable.

2) What about your goals? You don't discuss any short-term or long-term career goals here besides obtaining the MSc in order to better yourself. They would probably like to see something more specific, such as that you have a vision of what you will achieve using this MSc.

3) The conclusion is a bit vague about what exactly about this specific school has drawn you to it. Why do you want to attend this program, specifically?

4) You'll be studying abroad, correct? Why do you want to study abroad? That's also something important to address. What will you get out of it? Have you studied abroad before or will this be your first experience? \

之后我按照她的建议再改了一次,她再次修改我的语句感觉还是很有帮助的,我在她的引导下思考了很多.但是她不会在文章的结构以及我的内容选择上给出建议.所以我的PS还需要继续修改.希望对大家有用!有用的话请给我加米可以不!

她基本不会改动你原来写的句子，基本上就是找一些模板句子然后放在合适的地方。有时候会出现两个句子表达了同样的意思。我google了下她加的句子，然后找到了她套的模板。。。她还承诺plagiarism-free。。感觉她的编辑挺敷衍的。
