问下有关power方向

是申请容易还是学起来容易？我几天看到说power engineering工作好找

我研究生做的主要是power electronics( the control of the converter),没做过motor control 和power system,不知道转这两个方向容易不？

对于申请phd，难度比其他EE方向要低一点，因为竞争不那么激烈
学起来感觉算是EE的平均难度吧，不算特别难也决不能算简单
工作好找貌似是事实……

个人认为是power electronics。因为企业多，而且需求量也大，学的东西用处也多。
power system去向很有限

power engineering 的master呢 好申请吗？你前面说的都是牛校啊 一般学校是不是没这方向啊，CS转power 有希望吗? 33# zach

Actually, it is not easy to apply for a PhD in power engineering. Because first: the number of professors is limited; secondly, power engineering highly requires candidates' experience. For most students in general electrical engineering, it is comparatively easy to find a position in power electronics. That's my personal opinion.

我也觉得对于本科没有power背景的eecs同学，申请power方向的phd基本没戏
power electronics或许算点交叉，对power方向专业课要求少点，而且做得人也多

ms一般不分方向，按选课确定方向的说。当然也有例外，比如UMich的MS招生就分方向……
这个和牛校不牛校没关系，关键在于全米国有power的就那么几个学校
