CSE MS Stony Brook University Fall 2013 Admission Offer

It is my pleasure to inform you that you have been admitted to full-time graduate study in the Master's program in Computer Science starting in the Fall semester of 2013. We are delighted that you applied to Stony Brook and believe you will be pleased with both the academic and social climate here. Customarily, our Masters program is for two years. This offer is contingent upon your enrolling as a full time student in the program by the 15th day of each semester and maintaining GPA of at least 3.0
in your first semester and each semester thereafter.

他家deadline居然可以到5.1，可见offer还没有发完，没消息的同学不要灰心。

一旦收到已经accept学校的正式通知，我就会decline掉这个，争取在4.15之前。

话说楼主觉得Stony Brook和TAMU的CS，哪个稍微值得去啊？

听石溪群里的CS前辈说，石溪周围有很多研究所可以给RA，抵扣学分什么的，你要不去打听打听？别这么着急做决定嘛

1、石溪学费和生活费都比TAMU高出许多
2、TAMU在德州的就业环境比较好，因为学校大校友多，在德州的地位家喻户晓，StonyBrook在纽约就没这个优势了吧
3、读master是为了进工业界，RA固然是好，但也意味着占用学技术的时间来做experiment、写paper；我相信只要好好学习总是能毕业的，抵扣学分和RA工资并不是我读master的目标。

To conclude, still vote for TAMU.
