伯克利创新基因组研究所正在为新冠肺炎测试推出唾液测试

伯克利大学正在试验的基于唾液的新样本测试，如果成功，将不再需要训练有素的医务人员穿着个人防护装备进行测试。根据伯克利大学的一份声明，如果研究证明新的测试方法可以和鼻拭子一样有效，那么伯克利分校将能够在8月下旬学校秋季学期开始之前增加对学生、教职员工的测试。这项测试可以在短短五六分钟内进行。目前这项研究已经向教职员工和学生开放，他们可以在该研究所的网站上注册参加免费的无症状唾液测试研究。

A new saliva-based test being tested at Berkeley, if successful, will no longer require trained medical personnel to wear ppe. If the study proves the new test is as effective as a nose swab, Berkeley will be able to add tests for students, faculty and staff before the school's fall semester begins in late August, according to a university statement. The test can be done in as little as five or six minutes. The study is now open to faculty, staff and students who can sign up for a free asymptomatic saliva test on the institute's website.  source
