For successful applicants, depending on academic performance, there are 4 levels of stipends ([l] www gradsch hku hk/gradsch/prospective-students/scholarship-funding-and-fees#3[/l]):
(1) Hong Kong PhD Fellowship (HKPF) – HK$26,600/month + a conference/travel grant of up to HK$13,300/year.
(2) HKU Presidential PhD Scholarship(HKU-PS) – HK$26,600/month + a conference/travel grant of up to HK$13,300/year+ cash award to support research and living expenses (HK$40,000 in Year 1, HK$20,000 per year in the remaining, normative study period)
(3) University Postgraduate Fellowship (UPF) – HK$ 18,030 /month (Basic level) + a scholarship of HK$1,458/month.
(4) Postgraduate Studentship (PGS) – HK$ 18,030 /month (Basic level).
