美加Prof 招生有感

最近浏览了许多加拿大的Prof个人主页的prospective student部分，跟熟悉的美国比起来，感觉加拿大的老师个人主页有几个明显的区别：
1.很多加拿大老师都会写明确 类似“due to large volum, I won't reply to all emails”这种话，对比美国老师主页经常是feel free to contact me/to stop by my office，
P.S 感觉是不是加拿大申请人太多还是怎么样？

2.很多加拿大老师都直接或者间接强调 "make sure match with my research/read my research paper/..., then contact me" 对比美国老师经常就是looking for students who interests the below several items/aspects,然后1，2，3.
P.S 感觉加拿大老师有点儿高冷？？
