美国莱斯大学（Rice University）电子计算机工程系（ECE）Prof. Kaiyuan Yang’s Secure and Intelligent Micro System (SIMS) Lab招收多名全奖博士，同时也提供本科生（远程）实习的机会，以下为实验室和PI的介绍

The Secure and Intelligent Micro-Systems (SIMS) Lab @ Rice University creates and demonstrates radically new hardware (integrated circuits and micro-systems) to enable emerging applications that are not possible without miniaturized electronics powered by tiny or even no batteries. Our targeted applications include internet of everything and biomedical implants/wearables. We innovate analog/digital/mixed-signal circuit components (for sensors, power management, and energy harvesting) to push the limits of energy efficiency and performance and integrating them into miniaturized systems. Moreover, we are interested in addressing pressing system challenges on security and machine intelligence from a hardware perspective, which will be explored through cross-layer (devices, circuits, architecture, and algorithm) co-designs.

Dr. Yang received his Bachelor degree in Electronics Engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2012. He received the M.S. and Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, in 2014 and 2017. He has been an assistant professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Rice University since 2017. His Ph.D. work was recognized by the 2016-2017 IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society (SSCS) Predoctoral Achievement Award. He was also recipient of the Distinguished Paper Award at the 2016 IEEE International Symposium on Security and Privacy (S&P), the Best Student Paper Award (1st place) at the 2015 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS), and the best paper award finalist at 2018 Custom Integrated Circuit Conference (CICC).

在团队的共同努力下，SIMS lab在2017年成立后已经发表5篇ISSCC 以及多篇顶级会议和杂志文章。莱斯大学为研究型私立学校，是美国南方以及德州最好的大学之一，经费充足，平均每个faculty的经费仅低于caltech。学校在USNEWS综合排名和计算机工程均为top 20。Rice ECE近年来培养了多位进入cmu，gatech，michigan，cornell，princeton，purdue等名校的faculty。学校坐落在休斯顿市中心以及德州医学中心附近，环境优美，生活方便。休斯顿拥有全美最好的中国城之一，对于中国学生生活有质的提高。

spring或者fall入学都可以，gre的要求和入学时间没有关系，如果其他方面足够优秀可以申请waive gre

半个月前给老师发了一封邮件，一直没有回复，请问这种是被拒绝了吗

您好，请问一下美本美硕GRE的要求是什么？Dr.yang让我直接indicate他，但是现在去考gre再申请的话，12月可能来不及，有什么办法waive嘛？
