扎克伯格：印度可以作为Facebook的创新产品试验市场

扎克伯格表示：Facebook会先在印度进行一些新产品的功能测试，然后再在全球推广。比如，Facebook在全球推广之前，就先在印度推出了其短视频产品Instagram Reels。

“印度在创建数字生态系统方面处于领先地位，例如统一支付接口UPI在10月份的交易量超过20亿笔。印度在这方面处于领先地位。”扎克伯格补充说。

上个月，Facebook推出了其支付服务WhatsApp Pay，该服务将需要在UPI平台上运行。

Speaking at the virtual Facebook Fuel for India 2020 event on Tuesday, the billionaire entrepreneur said his company “actually tests some new features here (in India) first, before rolling them out globally…” The US company also premiered its short video offering, Instagram Reels, in India ahead of a global rollout.

Pointing to India’s lead in creating digital ecosystems such as the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) — which notched up over 2 billion transactions in October — Zuckerberg said, “We’re grateful to be able to support this kind of innovation… and frankly, I think that a lot of other places around the world are going to be better off when they follow some of this lead that India has set in creating public goods like this.”

Last month, the social network launched its payment service, WhatsApp Pay, which will run on the UPI platform.  source

这应该是怕印度学中国也自己搞一套社交产品出来吧 提前布局不给机会。
