亚马逊正在努力让一线员工优先获得新冠疫苗

亚马逊零售业务高级副总裁Dave Clark周三致信美国疾病控制和预防中心(Centers for Disease Control and Prevention)的一个小组，要求仓库工人、亚马逊网络服务的数据中心员工和全美Whole Foods员工能够在最早的合适的时间接种新冠疫苗。

Clark强调，亚马逊的一线员工在疫情间发挥了至关重要的作用，因居家令及严重的疫情，大部分消费者待在家中，一些零售店关门，这些一线员工帮助消费者获得必要的产品。他补充说，亚马逊在美国雇佣了超过80万名员工，使其成为仅次于沃尔玛的全国第二大雇主。希望优先考虑这些不能在家工作的重要工人。

Dave Clark, senior vice president of Amazon retail business, wrote to a team of the Centers for Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Wednesday, asking warehouse workers, Amazon Web Services data center employees, and Whole Foods employees across the United States to be the earliest appropriate time to get the coronavirus vaccine.

Clark emphasized that Amazon's front-line employees have played a vital role in the epidemic. Due to the stay-at-home order and severe epidemics, most consumers stay at home and some retail stores are closed. These front-line employees help consumers obtain necessary products. He added that Amazon employs more than 800,000 employees in the United States, making it the second-largest employer in the country after WalMart. Hope to give priority to these important workers who cannot work at home.

In Silicon Valley and elsewhere, Uber and DoorDash are also making the case to officials: give their drivers priority when distributing vaccines. Companies in the retail, airline, restaurant and meatpacking industries are also lobbying for priority access to vaccines.  source
