OPT processing delay大家打算推迟多久入职呢

本人11.19递送了application到TX lockbox, 现在依然没有收到receipt notice，原定的今年2.15入职，想问一下需要跟manager说一下延迟入职么，如果需要，应该如何礼貌地negotiate呢？ask多少个月合适呢？会不会被revoke offer？有经验的同学可以share一下么，非常感谢。大家可以写一下自己的starting date和打算延迟多久以供其他同学做参考。谢谢

我把start date已经延长了1个半月，参考过地里一个negotiate的帖子，时间是在19年，现在找不到reference了，写的很好有兴趣大家找一找

下面是我的邮件沟通主要内容，和大家交流一下。offer被revoke的可能性还是比较小的，公司这种每年应该都挺多人这种情况，不要太担心。

我觉得我和HR沟通的重点是每个星期要告诉HR和manager自己的进度，没进度的时候根据OPTtimeline编一些靠谱的进度
寄出大半个月没收到receipt（拿到receipt前2周）
I hope you are doing good and well! These two weeks I still didn't get updates of OPT progress.  
I can check my OPT case status via website but the status still remains the same. Additionally,  when checking the status on the same webpage, I can also get the status of others cases who submitted materials  around the same time with me and have a general estimation. After checking others progress, it is very possible I can receive updates these two weeks.
But I am not very confident in the estimated processing speed the USCIS previously provided a few months ago. Can I move my start date to... just in case?

Thank you very much for previous checking in and after a long waiting time I received a response from the US immigration department.
In an update email I received it said that my case is assigned to an officer and under review. Their customer service said it would generally take 3~4 weeks for review. Due to the Covid-19 situation they suffered inefficient labor force and their work is slowed down compared with previous years. My friend mailed material 8 days before me already has card approved.
On the tracking system, I can see they started to process cases  +-3 days of mine and around 60 cases have been approved during the last two weeks. I hope it won’t take too long until mine.
I’m very excited for this position and eager to start the work as soon as possible. I contacted congressman in our area and am waiting for his response. I apologize for not being able to start on time but I hope to join you soon.

There is no update on my case status for now.
During last week, I can see around 7% of cases submitted on the same date of mine on the tracking system have been processed. Furthermore, around
19% of cases just 3 days before my date has been processed.
I hope my case will be processed soon but with current speed I think my case needs more time (maybe another one or two weeks) to wait.

I still didn't get an update last week. But the tracking system shows 39% cases submitted on the same date of mine have been approved
and nearly half of cases  just 3 days before my date also have been processed by now. It is very promising If they can
maintain the current speed. I hope the Christmas holiday won't affect the speed of this week a lot.

1周之后（数据都是编的，进度也是编的）
There is still no update for my case during the last week, but by now 58% of cases on my date have been approved. I guess my case is in a slow queue. Another thing that concerns me is that their daily process cases dropped drastically to two thirds of the normal ones from last Friday, maybe due to the upcoming holiday.
I will keep watching the tracking system these days and hope I can get good news and let you know soon.

终于在10天后被approve了哈哈哈哈（数据还是编的）
My OPT has been approved on 。。。 and I am waiting for card delivery now！
Usually they will mail the card the day after the approval, and it can be received within three business days once mailed out.
I guess there are some delays due to the holiday season and probably my card will be sent today or tomorrow. I checked the forum and many people who got approval during the holiday season are in the same situation as me.

因为我接offer时时间就没填好，寄送OPT还有拖延症拖了很久，只能和HR一次一次改start date。如果再来一次，应该直接提前和HR说好迟一个半月，你的情况比我要好很多的，不用太担心

11/9 delivered
2/22 start date
打算1/22 找hr，如果到时有receipt了推两周，没有的话推一个月

昨天已经找hr，我告诉他现在TX lockbox 所有留学生都在同一条船上。
hr 没有问我推多久，只说可以让我推迟，让后让我每周 update 他一次现况。

同关注，1月25号start, 我真的是太天真了。。

我是2/1 start，EAD 12.3 approve之后寄丢了，12.24寄过去了一份replacement申请，不知道要等多久了。。。
楼主这个情况的话我估计拿到receipt到寄卡可能还要挺久的，直接跟公司往晚里说吧。。

replacement就是标准了i765处理时间，会很长

approval notice+ replacement receipt应该可以证明合法身份吧？ 不知道公司认不认

定的一月25号。申请之前还做了个回归预测觉得很稳，是我**了。

先马住，学习了！2月15大概率是来不及，估计2.15能拿到receipt已经很好了

这个比较有希望，因为在USCIS的网站上写了，但是现在即使是出receipt也非常的慢，我看大家11月deliver的现在还没拿到receipt。。。
