The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Informatics Research at Mayo Clinic Rochester is recruiting multiple positions of postdoctoral fellows/Ph.D. Students/Intern/Research Assistant/Visiting scholars. The position will be supervised by Dr. Zong who is specialized in 1) computational drug repurposing, and 2) deep learning-based predictive models. The role will utilize the state-of-the-art of deep learning and machine learning models to build predictive models for diverse applications in the area of biomedical informatics. Large-scaled biomedical datasets (e.g., knowledge graphs) and patient electronic health records (EHRs) are used in the study. In addition, the role will have the opportunities to work closely with top-notch physicians from Mayo Clinic, which is ranked No. 1 hospital for six years in the United States.
The successful candidate will have degrees in EE, CS, Biomedical Informatics, Biostats, or related fields with solid programming skills. Experiences in one or more of the following areas are desirable: Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Semantic Web/knowledge graph, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Biostats. The candidate should demonstrate good communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment, to coordinate and supervise part of the research project.
We offer a competitive salary and an initial appointment of 12 months, starting 2021/2022 with a possible 3 years of extension for the post-doc position.
