H1B Transfer approved之后怎么填写那个I-9表格

大家好，请教一下H1B Transfer approved之后(e-notice，还没有收到纸质approval) 怎么填写那个I-9表格An alien authorized to work until (expiration date, if applicable, ..)。刚刚在USCIS上面查到case approve了，我准备明天和律师确认之后就拿着电子approval去入职，不想等纸质approval. 谢谢。

本来一开始和HR说好了的，是可以用旧的H1B填写I-9，先入职，然后等拿到新的纸质的approval再重新填写一份更新一下I-9就好了。无奈本人遇到一个懒惰的HR，节假日期间极其不情愿rework，改口说非得要等我拿到纸质的approval notice再让我入职。哎，没有办法，就晚点再入职了。

H1B transfer拿到receipt就可以入职了啊。只是等到approval对我们比较有力，毕竟不会出现在原来公司辞职了，但是新的被deny这种尴尬的事。这个公司的HR是真懒。

Hi, it took four days to get the physical H1B approval notice (Form I-797) from the attorney's office. It was delayed because of the New Year's holiday. The attorney sent the package to me using FedEx overnight mail. So you should expect the package within a day or two in your case. I ended up submitting the I-9 form using the soft copy(electronic copy shared by the attorney's office before mailing out the physical one) as I argued with HR and challenged her. You should be able to use the electronic copy of the H1B approval notice to complete your I9 without the physical H1B approval notice (Form I-797) at hand. Please find the below timeline for your reference. I hope it helps, and best of luck.

I agree with you. Some companies can start onboarding with the receipt, some companies can start onboarding with the electronic copy of the approval notice, while others require the physical approval notice at hand. It depends on your company policy. And it's a lesson that we should not pick the start date for the holiday season.
