Graduate research/teaching assistant opportunities in Industrial Engineering at Texas Tech University
Founded in 1934, the IE department is one of the first IE departments in the nation and the first in the state of Texas. The department has a distinguished history of outstanding scholarship, with recent funding from NSF, DOE, ONR, DOD and NIH, as well as for offering excellent, personalized educational opportunities. The Department of Industrial Engineering has numerous laboratory facilities, including manufacturing, ergonomics and materials characterization.

Research interests: (Manufacturing)
Laser additive manufacturing of metal and ceramic-based materials,
Rotary ultrasonic machining of high performance aerospace materials,
Ultrasonic vibration-assisted manufacturing processes,
CFRP composite materials manufacturing and machining, etc.
For this position on manufacturing, we seek individuals with an earned Master (preferred) in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, material sciences or a closely related field. Manufacturing research background is highly desired. The successful candidates will lead research on additive manufacturing using laser technology or other closed advanced manufacturing area.
