周五last day，周一入职，中间两天算是illegal status吗？

本人目前单位的H1B8月15日过期，新单位的H1B 8 月1号开始，准备7月29号（周五）离职，8月1号（周一）入职。但是刚才收到学校的ISS的通知：
. 1point3acres.com “If you will be starting an H-1B at another institution, company, etc. in the US, we will delay the withdrawals so that the new petition can be filed. Please be aware that as soon as you stop performing your job duties for XXX, you will no longer be maintaining your H-1B status and the current end date of your H-1B Approval Notice and your I-94 become irrelevant.  If you are porting your H-1B to a new employer, your “start” date with that new employer will need to be the day after your resignation/termination at the latest. For example, if you will still plan on resigning on the 29th, your new H-1B would need to start on the 30th at the latest.”It’s extremely important that you understand that you will have no H-1B grace period beyond the date of resignation/termination. If your date of resignation/termination is July 29th, that is also the day that your H-1B and permission to be in the US will end.
第一次遇到这种情况，求有经验的同仁提供建议。这样是不是说我只能不能再周五离职？

得加班到周日晚23:59，少一分钟属于非法滞留，多一分钟属于非法打工

遇到传播这种信息的学校有种想上去给一拳的感觉 🙃

为啥你会收到学校邮件？没遇到过没有60天grace period的情况

没看明白，为什么你没有Grace period呢？

只要有pending的I129就不算触发grace period，并且就算使用了grace period也无所谓，每一个I129就提供一个新的grace period
