1）我不想读phd，所以深造的因素不用考虑 2）毕业后可能先留下来找找工作，有一些经验后肯定回国工作，希望回国的名声更好 3）校友能多点 4）不想太多的软件
I have to say, I have no ideas about what it is like in Mainland. So whatever about returning to mainland, I don't know a damn thing. So all I am going to say is only about the first half of 2.

It depends on how difficult to switch tracks in UCLA. The best choice for you is to do CS in UCLA and then join silicon valley. Arguably, you could expect base salaries, ranging from 80k to 150k, depends on your ability. quite happy working life.

The second best one is do CS in Cornell.
This is almost as good as Option 1, but silightly worse because of locations.

The third rank goes to EE in UCLA or Cornell. This actually depends on your track. Generally digial and analog are good, emag is bad, etc.

The bottom line, 1 or 2 are almost equally good, don't worry about Meng for job seeking in U.S.A.  Option 3 is only good if your tarck is good. otherwise, dump it like trash.

Does not matter too much in term of job seeking.
4）不想太多的软件
If you are in EE's digital side, or very good at analog, you could say no to CS. Otherwise, it's not going to be pretty. Of coruse, I am not saying you cannot find a job, it's all about how much salary you want and if you want to work in the nitch field.

哪个申请难度更大，就去那个。
因为你的同辈也是一些含金量比较高的，这样也会让你的program 在业界的口碑比较好。

thx，申请难度更大？这个也很难说啊，个人认为是ucla吧。。。

I'm sorry to bother you again. Do you know about the track -- Physical & Wave Electronics in UCLA? Is that track easy to find a job in America？ Or how about the prospect of this track？Could you give me some personnal opinions？Thx

I did not know the track specifically in UCLA. By the name, I was guessing it's about emag.
By a quick search online http://www.ee.ucla.edu/research/ ... d-wave-electronics. it reveals a much worse case:
"Research in this area covers various topics including electromagnetics, photonics and optoelectronics, plasma electronics, microelectromechanical systems, solid state, and nanotechnology."
Pretty much this track covers all the worst direction of  ECE (master only) in terms of job seeking.

My honest view is it's a trap in your case.
