Associate Professor Daniel Acuna (CS Department at the University of Colorado at Boulder) is looking for several motivated students who want to apply to our lab. I am looking for several fully-funded Ph.D. students for Fall 2023, predoctoral students, postdoctoral students, or visiting scholars (remote visiting scholars allowed). If you’re looking to study a Ph.D. that is fully funded and seamlessly integrates artificial intelligence, computer science, and science---look no further! I’m inviting everyone to apply to the Science of Science and Computational Discovery Lab in the Computer Science Department at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Our lab is dedicated to taking research in various scientific domains to the next level by developing semi-automated methods to mine valuable knowledge from unstructured data sets. We employ various computational techniques, such as deep learning, natural language processing, graph analytics, image processing, and causal inference. We are particularly interested in understanding current practices in various sciences for better AI for science applications---and this is where Ph.D. candidates in this group can make a huge impact!
