求解被拒的理由

网申系统里状态还是pengding，通知邮件里有这么一段话：

"We realize our decision may be disappointing.  It is important to note that this decision is based on many factors.For example, we only accept Ph.D. students when there is a strong mutual interest between an applicant and a CIS faculty member. Therefore, this decision should not be considered as an assessment of your potential for graduate studies."

我查了我提交的申请，有这么两个选项（这两项我都填了，填的时候也没多想）：

Select up to four areas from the following list:
List up to four research faculty members you are interested in working with.

虽然我这样的背景被拒也没什么可说的，但是还是想弄清楚，按照邮件里这段话，对于申MS来说，这两项应该空着不填吗？还是说他只是随便找了一个拒的理由？
邮件里根本没有提到我的**,低TG。

我就是自己填的，自己填有时候没经验也容易出问题啊。

只是举个例子吧，填不填没啥影响。他应该只是举个例子，估计ms、phd拒信都用的一个例子，都复制粘贴了，不用太在意

好吧，那估计是巧合了。申了十几所学校，印象里好像只有这个申请的时候要选research faculty，正好他拒信里例子就用的这个。其实还挺想去这个学校的。
