We have some difficult news to share. We are reducing our workforce and are very sorry to tell you that your role is impacted and we no longer have a job for you at Google.

We want you to know that we recognize how difficult this is and we appreciate all you’ve contributed to Google. You’ll find more information below on how we’ll support you through this transition, but some of the details include:

Compensation: You’ll be paid during the full notification period (minimum 60 days). You’ll also receive a severance package starting at 16 weeks salary plus two weeks for every additional year at Google*.
Stock: We will accelerate GSU vesting, starting at 16 weeks plus two additional weeks for every full year at Google*.
Bonus: You’ll receive your 2022 bonus. You should have already received 80% of your on-target bonus, and you can expect the remainder in March.
.--PTO: You’ll be paid for any unused vacation.
Healthcare: Your existing health insurance will continue through the last day of the month of your end date. You’ll also receive a 6-month cash healthcare subsidy for medical, dental, and vision expenses after that*.
Job placement: You have the option to use 6 months of professional outplacement services to support you in your search for a new role or a different challenge.
Immigration support: We know this is a particularly tough situation for those of you on visas. We will host information sessions to help you understand your situation, and provide legal support and cover necessary travel to help you with this transition.
Mental health support: Both you and your dependents will continue to have access to our Employee Assistance Program for 6 months after your end date.

多少也算是挺历史的一刻

我觉得这段裁员史给我的一课就是，很多事情是自己改变不了，同时自己也不该依靠这些所谓的大厂光环给自身添砖加瓦觉得自己就高人一等，毕竟真正得到的更多是那份薪水，而非虚无飘渺的“大厂员工”身份。

. From 1point 3acres bbs以后的时间，我觉得对大部分找工作的人来说，找一份合适自己（各方面意义上的，包括薪水、wlb、工作内容及环境）的工作，会比找一份显得更“高贵”（以往人们总是张口闭口flag/fanng、找到工作迫不及待发小红书朋友圈）的工作更有意义。

我也在所谓的大厂待过，但那种一级压一级，许多人都想爬梯子，然后存在很多并不能赚钱但又需要项目证明自己价值的团队，让人真的很心累。潮水褪去才让人更清醒

不过苦日子肯定会过去，做最坏的打算，希望最好的结果
