I strongly support the training opportunities for international students with STEM degrees. Some people are claiming that international students are increasing the competition in this country. But I consider this competition as a good one. The young need the competition, this country also needs the competition. Competition can force one to become more qualified in this era. Job positions are not meant to be given to those who are not capable. And it is the competition that makes the young to fight for their dreams.

I don't think canceling the OPT, seemingly plausible,  will root out our immigrant issue at all, the American companies already found their way outsourcing labor offshore, and hiring with higher costs locally will only accelerate this process. On the other hand, it makes sense that the international students bring catalyst to the all the aspects of the society. A justifiable way worth discussion would simply be universities raising bar for the admissions, but taking away the founded settlement, which is now following a legitimate procedure to enact, would be an absurd way as to strike a knife to our bleeding public figure. Thus sit tight and strengthen this policy, it would only serve the good of the United State.

Dear DHS - I am currently a Postdoc Researcher at ME Department at Stanford University, I have spent my best five years obtaining my PhD degree in United States, thanks to your institution, that I finally had a chance to pay back and serve this country in my OPT duration. Our research undertakings would help tens of thousands of people alive by designing state-of-art surgical robotics and contributing to the community for the sampling validation and training. However, this purpose would by no means be fulfilled, as my ordinary OPT will expire the beginning of next year, while the research plan has been renewed to the September. I believe there are many cases like myself, therefore I urge you to approve the regulation, and we will spare no effort for such interest for not only Americans but also the entire human beings. Thanks very much for your consideration!

Those students with STEM degrees are making great contributions to this country. Our education system needs new blood. With more international students, the American students can learn various cultures and different thoughts. Our kids will learn to compete in this country and become more competitive after graduation. Diversity is one of the key factors that makes our education system strong and attractive. Without such training opportunities for those international students, I can barely see that we can continuingly attract them to this country.

International students are also paying their taxes to this country. They are also making contributions to increase the job positions to this country. Even though they took some opportunities, they are qualified and able to overtake it. These students are making this industry run healthily rather than destroy it. If such positions were handed to those who are not qualified, the IT industry will probably corrupt and our country can no longer hold its leading role in this century.
