ViaeX是一家专注于研发和生产先进纳米过滤器全球应用的一家创业公司，目前公司的主要人员均毕业于UC Berkeley。我们目前在生物化学方面全美前三的孵化器Indie Bio的帮助下迅速发展，目前已经拿到美国自然基金委NSF的资金，并在NSF I-CORP Bay Area比赛中获得冠军，以及在陶氏化学和Big Ideas@Berkeley举办的创业比赛均获得前三名。

Head Scientist

ViaeX is focused on developing and producing nanofilters for global industrial applications. We are currently located in the synthetic biology accelerator IndieBio. If you are interested in revolutionizing global water- and air-filtration for sustainability and efficiency as part of a fast growing biotech startup that has been founded by NSF, then ViaeX is the perfect place for you.  

ViaeX is looking for a Head Scientist to join our core team and drive the development of our patented nanofilters. You will further optimize the material’s composition and characteristics as well as help with the product development.  The selection of additional technical team members and the coordination and leadership of our research efforts round off your responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
. Χ*Drive the further development of our patented filter technology  
*Support the product design  
*Support the writing of proposals
*Help select additional technical team members
*Lead a gradually growing team of researchers  
*Support other tasks whenever needed – as a small team, we are accustomed to helping each other out wherever help is needed  

Qualifications:  
*Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Nanomaterials, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering with a Chemistry background or a similarly applicable field
*Extensive lab experience *Demonstrated ability to work in a start-up or other fast-paced environment  
*Ability to work alone and in team settings, under minimal guidance and direction  
*Ability to select and lead a small team of researchers
*Experience writing proposals
*Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.  
*Awesome person that is fun to work with
