Job Title: Staff Engineer – NSX Controller Team
Job Scope:
VMware is virtualizing the networking world and we need your help.
We are looking for a software engineer to join our NSX Controller team The NSX Controller is an advanced distributed state management system that controls virtual networks and overlay transport tunnels. The NSX Controller team is part of the Networking and Security Business Unit that has been growing quickly and feels like a startup within VMware.

You will participate in many innovative projects, with the authority and scope to apply your expertise in a fast paced and technically driven environment. You’ll be part of a bright engineering team that values open communication, empowerment, innovation, teamwork and customer success. Our engineering team members share a strong self-directed work ethic and a make-it-happen mindset.

Responsibilities:
• Design and develop software in Java, C++ and Python for distributed software Virtualization environment.
• Collaborate in our large-scale distributed systems design discussions.
• Build up unit and integration tests along with product features.
• Work with customers to debug and resolve issues.
• Ensure project clarity with all stakeholders and team members.

Requirements:
• Experience with development in a large-scale distributed systems environment such as large-scale web infrastructure, database replication, high availability, etc.
• Strong operating system and data structures fundamentals
• Strong experience with Java, C++, C or Python programming.
• Clean design skills.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to craft simple solutions to complex problems.

Education: A Computer Science or related undergraduate equivalent is required.

Sorry，我见识短浅。只能说你太牛了哈！不服不行！！

我在linkedin上搜了一下VMware 的staff，下面两个都还是在VMware升的比较快的。你这外面startup一年，当VMware内部好多年啊。厉害。

楼主厉害啊。硕士刚毕业在VMware是MTS-2，工作两年左右升到MTS-3，再工作两年申到senior MTS。然后很多人在senior里五六年都申不到staff。staff基本都是10年以上工作经验的，不管是在VMware还是其他大公司。楼主硕士在startup工作一年就拿到了。

请问是senior还是staff的offer？

哦 你签offer了？感觉我面的那个组的人还是挺nice的  工作环境也不错

签了。。因为除了一个starup也没其他offer了。。谷歌据了不要我
我还想进NSX呢，不知道能不能分到这组
