DescriptionWe are seeking outstanding candidates for a Ph.D. student position in the School of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science at Oregon State University.  Preferred qualifications include a B.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering (with emphasis in Power Systems) or a related discipline (e.g. Industrial Engineering, Physics, Mathematics) and the desire to to pursue innovative research in the following areas of Power and Energy Systems:
* Cascading outages in power grids
* Complex systems and complex networks
* Chaos and nonlinear dynamics
* Big data and high performance computing
