大家的PS和SOP区别大么？

有些学校需要PS和SOP都提交，请问各位写的这两者区别大么？

理论上说是PS注重写教育背景，SOP注重写科研经历和方向，但是写起来感觉区别不太大。。。。如果这两个部分提交的文章内容差不多有关系么？

UCSB的网申系统里是这么说的：
Statement of Purpose
Give a brief statement outlining your reasons for undertaking a graduate program, your particular area of specialization within the major field, your past academic work, and your plans for future occupation or profession. Also include any additional information that may assist the selection committee in evaluating your preparation and aptitude for graduate study at UC Santa Barbara.

Personal Achievements/Contributions Statement
UC Santa Barbara is interested in a diverse and inclusive graduate student population. Please describe any aspects of your personal background, accomplishments, or achievements that you feel are important in evaluating your application for graduate study. 我也两个都写了，最终两个完全不一样

我自己是沒區別對待，只改標題。

我觉着就是同一个东西呀，有学校需要提交两个么？

是啊 理论上是这么说，但是写的时候总觉得都包括了啊。。。。性格经历怎么写啊。。。

貌似不用非得写吧，SOP主要写自己的interest方向啊，取得phd之后的打算之类，个人性格的话，用来辅助证明你可以做到

有的学校只要SOP，，那可以混合起来写么？
