ok i'm back
1. delete your weird "s e cs and xxxxxxxx ucb" title thing. it's simply weird.
2. list your major GPA with computer science, unless you have under 3.2 GPA with CS classes.
2.1. if you have done exceptional well in any of the coursework listed, attach that GPA to the course name to impress people
3. Skills looks fine, i'd probably consolidate into two lines. programming laguage and dev tools
4. experiences: you have really good experiences, but you need to SHOW it..
4.1.you only mention ruby on rails in keywords section, where did you use it inside the project???? im so confused
4.1.1. dude u've been working in the team for almost 3 years and you are still "part of the team"? that's not a very strong start word for your first project and first long sentence on resume. at least you took part leading some part of the project right? also, in this bullet point, drop some of the detailed description and briefly introduced where you used Ruby.
4.1.2. wtf is pair programming and DELETE that PM thing, you are not applying PM role, dude. instead, go in depth on how you used ruby, how you deployed it, how scalabale is your service
4.1.3. wtf does programming has do to with founder of NPO? intead, introduce how many people used your service, how big of a impact you made, how stable your website was, how long people stayed on your website, how was the re-visit rate.
4.1.4. nothing relates with software, delete this "events" thing.
4.2. This is a true software engineer experience, and you only spent TWO lines on it???? wtf?
4.2.1. i really am wordless. what tech stack you used? what exactly you built? where's the content of this project? where's the impact? you have a lot to work on for this project
5. academic projects, 6 is too much. pick 2 or 3, and go deep.
5.1. nothing relates with real world dev, delete
5.2. i know nothing about cloth simulator, but you better list something that's unique to you, like extra feature that's different from existing cloth simulators. also, add impact on it. what thing used it, who used it, how good is it, you need to show the measurement.
5.3. i think the sparking point for AIPACMAN is you used reinforcement learning. why not stress it? name it like "AI PacMan with Reinforcement learning", include if you used pyTorch or tensorflow? how did you give score in RL mode? how was your RL model performing? how your RL model boosted performance from baseline model? did you do any evaluation?
5.4. Database project also has potential to elaborate. again, make it a "unique my implementation" database, state where and what you did unique things different from current db. how good is your db? did you try plug in data? say you plugged in reddit data, then you can say this as sth like "fast accessing database for Reddit". now you can brag how much data your db is able to store, how convinient and how quick your data access is, how fast is it making connection to db.
.1point3acres 5.5. again, what exact tech stack you used there? maybe you used some framework? but again i think this does not worth listing on resume.
5.6. don't understand a f- thing about this Bear Maps, really poorly explained. if it's worth including, please explain it better. |
