MIZZOU的stat phd的一些情況

樓主前兩天從了MIZZOU，順帶問了何教授幾個問題，回覆迅速並且基本上都得到了詳細的回答~再次贊一次超nice的何教授~

Q: 貴系phd學生的信息，比如人數國籍神馬的？
A: The majority of our PhD students are from China and US. Some are from Taiwan, Korea, Europe, and Africa.


Q: 最近幾年的中國phd畢業生都幹嘛去了，在米國找工作了，做faculty了，還是回國了？
A: Most PhD graduates went to academia in US to teach and research. Some went to industries in US.  I do not know anyone PhD students went back to China right after their graduation.



Q: super grader這個職位包含tuition waiver和health insurance嘛？$13,500/年夠不夠正常消費？
A: （offer letter證實是包含的）Due to the department’s limited resources for supporting international students, we are unable to offer you more that $13,500 for the stipend.  This offer ($13,500) is enough for living and studying in Columbia. Our students report that they spend about $700 per month on room and meals (sharing a two-bed room apartment with another student and cooking for themselves).  So the typical student spends quite a bit less than $13,500 per year.  



Q: 貴系今年招生情況如何，比如phd ms有多少申請人，錄了幾個，多少給了錢？
A: NA
