Y Combinator is an American seed money startup accelerator. It has a policy of taking a 7% stake in every company it invested at seed and series A rounds. YC decided to change the policy today: it will ask for 4% instead of 7% and make investment case-by-case. Two things we know for sure: YC alumni list has been getting longer each year; hot startups won't easily give up 7% of shares.
