The head of the World Health Organization has warned that while the situation is improving in Europe, the coronavirus is worsening globally. At a news conference on Monday, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said that about 75 percent of the cases reported to United Nations health agencies on Sunday came from 10 countries in the Americas and South Asia. He noted that more than 100,000 cases had been reported in nine of the past 10 days, and that Sunday's 136,000 cases were the largest to date. Tedros says while most countries on the continent have fewer than 1,000 cases, cases are still rising in most of Africa.  source
